Urban Governance and Infrastructure Improvement Project (UGIIP) had been formulated to support the Sector Investment Plan of the Government of Bangladesh (GOB) for the selected Pourashavas.
"The main goal of Municipal
Infrastructure Development Plan (MIDP) for Pabna Paurashava is to prepare a
plan frame that can help guide the Paurashava authorities on development issues
in order to guide and develop paurashava area as appropriate in order to reach the
goal for a livable Paurashava which is not only 'healthy and safer but also
efficient and better'. This reflects the vision for an environment where the
people able and / or disable, irrespective of age-sex and income, cast creed
and religion can expectantly live and enjoy municipal services and facilities
without sacrificing tomorrow within affordable means. With this goal in end the
purpose of this plan is to achieve better and livable environment. This could
be assured through better socio-economic services facilities that could be achieved through:
effective use of
micro-credit programme and primary health services opportunities
• drainage structures,
road linkage, improved garbage disposal and sanitation system."
